Bridges to burn, tables to turn Work hard while your young til you crash and burn Don't stress and don't flex to them corporate operators, Cancel your phone bill, get a bowl, eat your breakfast Bridges to burn, tables to turn Work hard while your young til you crash and burn Don't stress and don't flex to them corporate operators, Cancel your phone bill, get a bowl, eat your breakfast I put my cornflakes on the counter Turn on the radio take a second to re-encounter my previous experiences and how they have counted, my grevious tendencies, my not so easy entries, my faults and my entities Your name comes to mind, but it's not unusual this time and a mirror breaks just at the thought of my smile (Hahahaha) It still hasn't left my side, this baggage that I carry, it's heavy and oversized I'm not sure what is inside but I can't shake the feeling that it's something I have to hide That it's something I have to move Don’t stress about my life yeah just listen to the groove Bridges to burn, tables to turn Work hard while your young til you crash and burn Don't stress and don't flex to them corporate operators, Cancel your phone bill, get a bowl, eat your breakfast Bridges to burn, tables to turn Work hard while your young til you crash and burn Don't stress and don't flex to them corporate operators, Cancel your phone bill, get a bowl, eat your breakfast Hold up Isnt it about time that we blow up Take an anadin My heads in bits I’m bout throw up And you know what drank too much to know what Yeah taxi back to the flat You know i’m gonna show up Then It’s back into bed Time to go to rest my head Better get some sleep cause I’ve a lecture at 10 I wake up in the morning with my head in the bin The sun in my eyes I’m never drinking again Ugh Bridges to burn, tables to turn Work hard while your young til you crash and burn Don't stress and don't flex to them corporate operators, Cancel your phone bill, get a bowl, eat your breakfast Bridges to burn, tables to turn Work hard while your young til you crash and burn Don't stress and don't flex to them corporate operators Go 1, 2, 3

I Remember 03:28
What do you do What do you know How’d your day go go with the flow Come back painted in gold If you know you know Hold up, do you know? I didn’t say you shit Now you’re having a go Woah You don’t even like me Please just give it time ticking the time time away What did did you say This is what’s going on in my brain I can’t think straight I can’t think wait I’m never fully relaxed never laid back Never got time by myself They say your time is your wealth Yeah I would probably spend it If I had some cents But I got none of that cause it on the shelf with my watch and my belt And “bitch I’m feeling myself” Okay yeah you’re lying I can see you were crying That’s fine I remember Back before I drove a car Back before you smoked Back when we were friends Back when I remembered Back when you remembered Back when we were innocent playin on the green Back before the days of social media Back before I had the confidence Back before I had the self esteem Did you think I’d lose my way too? Please just tell me what it is you want And I’ll give it back to you Never did no harm Never did no charge Good kid Kept my head in the right clouds Only came down when called for dinner Yeah winner winner Never really felt like a beginner ginner I just tried my best in all places Stay familiar with familiar faces Conas ata tu? guess I’m doing fine or at least I have to get by Kill time Look back Might die Might die Nostalgia makes me feel kinda ill I hate change I don’t deal with it well I guess I have to I remember Back before I drove a car Back before you smoked Back when we were friends Back when I remembered Back when you remembered Back when we were innocent playin on the green Back before the days of social media Back before I had the confidence Back before I had the self esteem Did you think I’d lose my way too? I remember Back before I drove a car Back before you smoked Back when we were friends Back when I remembered Back when you remembered Back when we were innocent playin on the green Back before the days of social media Back before I had the confidence Back before I had the self esteem Did you think I’d lose my way too? My social awareness kicks in Flick my brain switch Get to thinking What a shit filled life we live in run by fools in fancy stitching It’s really strange it’s a brand new year It’s 2019 and we still can’t talk about what we fear Feel like my father in my 96 Atlanta those were different times, different countries, Different god damn leaders But that was the 90s People were less sensitive feeling less self entitled Woah Comment saying this isn’t my place Why don’t you close your laptop come and say it to my face We’re all in this race And you’re just pissed Just cause some can run faster And you don’t like the taste Yeah I know that it’s bitter Don’t trash others cause you think it’ll make you look bigger Then you run and you hide like a god damn coward We all hear your lies Yeah we know you’ve got no power Won’t be long now til you’re found out I can’t wait for the day you see all the hate that you drowned out It’s the end of your time It’s the end of the line Look up to your people Cause guess who wears the fuckin’ crown now

Dear SJ 03:44

about

“The concept for this EP was formed after realising a lot of the subject matter of songs I listened to or wrote myself was quite negative. I went searching for a potential reason behind this overtly negative stance that kept recurring, in the process I stumbled across a quote -

““an average person has about 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day. Of those, 80% are negative and 95% are repetitive thoughts. If we repeat those negative thoughts, we think negative way more than we think positive thoughts.”

The 80% really stuck out to me. From this I compiled a lot of draft songs I had with different negative/positive connotations and found very few of them were positive. The EP consists of 80% negative connotations and a slightly unfortunate 20% positive. But I guess that’s life. I also viewed the 80% as some kind of journey, hence the progress bar. The EP pans out across a day, a journey through the positive and negative of sorts.”
